Following Eastern Europe, we flew to Amsterdam for a few days. I love this city, and not for what Amsterdam is usually known for but because the city is actually amazing! Surprisingly, Amsterdam is filled with Americans, English speakers everywhere but everything around you is so European so it's like the best of both worlds.
Gotta love the street performers

We took a bike tour the one day, which we all agreed was the best single thing about the entire trip. We lucked out with the best tour guide ever and sweet beach cruisers to ride through the skinny streets along the canal dominated city. Best experience ever, couldn't even explain it if I tried!
John's German friend came for the weekend, Max, who was a great time! |
We also went to the Anne Frank house, which was also a very unique experience. Definitely a must see if you're ever in the city.

The famous "food wall" that was always packed. It was full of cheeseburgers, sandwiches, egg rolls and this other weird fried rolls...
...What everyone was getting. It was veal something and it was the weirdest thing in the world.
Finally got my I AMsterdam picture!
Loved Amsterdam, and then came Ireland...
